年6月30日，义乌枫叶外籍人员子女学校第一次说明会在浙江义乌枫叶国际学校教学楼多功能厅B举办。来自美国、伊朗、印度、叙利亚、伊拉克、泰国、韩国、墨西哥、黎巴嫩和台湾地区的30多名家长和孩子参加了这次说明会。

义乌枫叶外籍人员子女学校是加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚（BC）省设立在义乌，涵盖一到九年级的海外学校，也是义乌第一个且唯一经过浙江省教育厅审批的外籍人员子女学校。学校的课程体系和教材与加拿大小学初中一致，每个学生入学后需要注册成为加拿大BC省教育部海外学生并且拥有单独的学籍号码。学校的老师来自加拿大，均获得教育学学位及加拿大专业教师资格证。
